SABI YOU

“SABI YOU” is our flagship project, and the idea behind, that brought it all to life. The word “sabi”, commonly used in Nigeria and throughout Africa, meaning “to know”. So, “Sabi You”, for us, means “get to know yourself”, your culture, your heritage, your identity. Only when you know where you come from, will you know where you are going. We take pride in showcasing our Nigerian culture to anyone who is interested, but we constantly want to remind our children of their origins. We find it is important for the younger generation to understand and accept being a Nigerian, or African. It is great to reside and grow up abroad, but Home must not be forgotten.
By getting to know the culture and traditions, we are evoking a natural desire for the languages to be discovered. Therefore, we offer language classes for Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa which are wrapped into an engaging and interesting format, away from a conventional learning environment.
To round up the Sabi You experience, we are also offering introduction to European languages, such as German, with plans for Spanish and Italian in the future. Sabi You is all about showcasing and awakening the Nigerian talent potential and Africa in general.

UK CULTURE

As a migrant family ourselves, with mixed cultures, we have experienced the UK for nearly 3 decades. Waded through ups and downs and learned some things the hard way along the path. We are using our experience to offer advice wherever needed and required. Many experience somewhat of a culture shock when they first arrive, and there is a network of policies, procedures and bureaucracy to navigate. We can help with this in the sense that we can pinpoint you in the right direction for whatever your needs are. If you want further information about the UK and its history, or you would like to improve your English language skills, we’ve got you covered!

AFRO-EUROPEAN SPORTS

We are building a database for athletes to register their talent, aspirations and goals. Further to this, we provide guidance on pathways into sports such as Tennis, Football and Athletics. We will arrange talent events where athletes can register and showcase their skills and network with teams and/or coaches.
